Board of Directors Meeting

January 15, 2020

The meeting, held at Tim Schick’s (1223), was called to order at 7:00 p.m.

Board Members present: Craig Downie, Tim Schick, Lee Thompson, and Petra Raymond.

Minutes

m/Craig s/Lee The minutes of the October 9 meeting were approved.

The Board reviewed the minutes of the 2019 annual meeting, which will be submitted for approval at the 2020 annual meeting.

Financial reports

Petra reviewed the financial reports. The Cluster ended 2019 with a surplus of $3,007.70. The surplus is due in part to a bill not being reviewed for work that has been done.

2020 officers

By unanimous consent Craig Downie was re-elected president, Petra Raymond was re-elected Treasurer and Tim Schick was re-elected Secretary. Lee Thompson and Cate Fulkerson will serve as vice presidents.

2020 Projects

The Board reviewed potential projects for the year. Wrapping up the 10-year landscape plan, tree work, drainage and bylaw review were identified as the top issues.

Petra said she would arrange a review of landscape projects with Arborist Chip Johnson to establish priorities and determine if revisions to the landscape plan were needed.

Lee reported he had an inquiry about our landscape contractor not blowing leaves off of patios and decks. Lee discussed this with our landscape contractor. EE stated that there were liability concerns and therefore they do not remove leaves from patios and decks per the contract. They do however remove leaves from open backyards and the common area behind homes.

Next Meeting

The Board set the next meeting for Feb. 26 at 7 pm at Tim’s house (1223) [The meeting was subsequently rescheduled to Match 11]

The meeting adjourned at 7:33 p.m.
