Board of Directors Meeting

September 11, 2019

 

The meeting, held at Tim Schick’s (1223), was called to order at 7:00 p.m.

 

Board Members present:  Craig Downie, Tim Schick, Lee Thompson and Petra Raymond.

 

Resident present: Jill Johnson (1206)

 

Tree Removal request

Johnson outlined ideas that she and a neighbor have for removing and thinning trees between their property.  The Board said a walk-around of the area in question with the cluster’s arborist and the residents would be scheduled.

 

Minutes

m/Lee s/Petra  The minutes of the August 14 meeting were approved.

 

Financial reports

Petra reviewed the financial report and highlighted areas where costs are likely to increase within the next year. She reported work has begun on a budget for 2020.

 

m/ Tim s/Lee The Board approved the Financial report.

 

Contracts

Petra discussed a proposed contract for landscape with the current contractor. The potential cost is greater than what was anticipated.  The Board agreed to discuss the price with the contractor and, if necessary, solicit comparable bids from other contractors.

 

The current contractor proposed no change in the snow removal contract.  The Board decided to wait on making a decision because this contract can be linked with the landscape contract.

 

Urgent Tree Removal

m/Tim s/Craig The Board voted to authorize the expenditure of up to $2,700 to remove a diseased tree behind 1264-68 that endangers the properties.

 

Annual Meeting

The Board confirmed Discussed agenda items for the Nov. 13 annual meeting.

 

The next Board meeting was set for 7 p.m. Oct 9 at Tim’s house (1223).

 

The meeting adjourned at 8:18 p.m.
