Board of Directors Meeting

February 6, 2019

 

The meeting, held at Tim Schick‘s (1223), was called to order at 7:37 p.m.

 

Board Members present:  Craig Downie, Tim Schick, Brad Wilson, Petra Raymond and Cate Fulkerson.

 

Residents present: Irene and Lance Hudome (1215)

 

Minutes

m/ Tim s/Brad The minutes of the January 9 meeting were approved.

 

Financial reports

Petra reviewed the financial report, pointing out that we have exceeded our budget on snow removal. A review of the snow removal bill with the contractor will be scheduled.

 

m/ Tim s/ Brad The Board approved the financial report for January.

 

Parking

 The board reviewed residents concern related to parking.

 

Mosquito Control Contract

m/Tim s/ Craig The Board approved a contract with Environmental Enhancements for $2,899 for mosquito control during 2019 using organic materials.

 

Snow Removal issues

Craig agreed to talk with the snow removal contractor about using sad, not salt on the sidewalk along Woodbrook Lane, because of complaint from dog owners.

 

Storm water & streambed rehabilitation project

Cate briefed the Board on steps necessary to get Fairfax County to make the work on the streambed (known officially as Piney Trib @ Lamplighter Way) located behind 1219-1225 a priority.

 

Landscape Master Plan

Brad agreed to schedule a neighborhood walk around with residents who have previously been involved in the implementation of the 10-year Landscape Master Plan to assist in prioritizing the remaining portions.

 

The next Board meeting was set for March 13 at Tim’s house (1223) [The meeting was subsequently rescheduled for March 6.]

 

The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
