Board of Directors Meeting

January 10, 2018

 

The meeting, held at Tim Schick’s (1223), was called to order at 7:30 p.m.

 

Board Members present:  Craig Downie, Tim Schick, Lee Thompson, Petra Raymond and Brad Wilson.

 

Minutes

m/ Petra s/ Lee The minutes of the October 11, 2017 board meeting and the November 8, 2017 annual meeting were approved.

 

2018 officers

m/Lee s/ several The Craig Downie was re-elected president, Petra Raymond was re-elected Treasurer and Tim Schick was re-elected Secretary.

 

Financial reports

Petra reported the Association finished 2017 with an $8,204.59 surplus and that the cost of trash removal was going up two percent. There is sufficient money in the budget to cover the increase. 

 

m/ Tim s/ Craig The board voted to derfer action on allocaton of the surplus until April, after the risk of unbudgeted snow removal costs have passed.

 

m/ Tim s/Craig the financial reports were approved.

 

Corporate registration

The board reviewed the status of the Association’s legal registrations.

 

Landscaping

The board identified Erosion control, drainage, and work on the 10-year landscape plan as major projects for 2018.  The board will seek input from the landscape committee at the February meeting.

 

Lee said he will contact the landscape contractor to get price information on switching to organic weed and pest control.

 

Building Painting

The board discussed sending notices with the next assessment billing to homeowners who are due for building painting in 2018.

 

The next meeting was scheduled for 7:30 pm February 7 at Tim’s house (1223)

 

The meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
