Board of Directors Meeting

October 11, 2017

 

The meeting held at Tim Schick’s (1223) was called to order at 7:30 p.m.

 

Board Members present:  Craig Downie, Tim Schick, Lee Thompson and Petra Raymond.

 

Minutes

m/ Lee s/ Lee The minutes of the Sept 20 meeting were approved.

 

Financial Reports

m/Tim s/ Craig The financial report for September was approved.

 

2018 Budget

By consensus, the Board approved a preliminary budget for 2018 that increases quarterly assessments by $4.00, with all the increase applies to reserves.

 

Curb Painting

Lee reported that completion of the curb paints was expected in the next two weeks.

 

Landscaping

Lee reported that he is continuing to work to get an exposed utility cable behind 1210 buried.

 

Lee reported that Reston Association plans to take no action on the issue of the tree behind 1250, as no complaint has been received and the tree is alive. He advises that tree experts have told him that an attempt to relocate the tree would likely kill it. Efforts will be made by Heather Knoll to fertilize the tree to encourage healthy growth.

 

The replacement tree behind 1212 has been planted.

 

Annual meeting

The board reviewed the agenda for the annual meeting.

 

The meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
