Board of Directors Meeting

February 22, 2017

 

The meeting held at Tim Schick’s (1223) was called to order at 7:30 p.m.

 

Board Members present:  Craig Downie, Tim Schick, Bob Dilger, Lee Thompson and Petra Raymond.

 

Guests present: Doug Raymond, Ellice Stern

 

Minutes

m/ Craig s/ Lee The minutes of the January 18 meeting were approved.

 

Master Plan Review

Ellice reviewed the status of work called for by the 10-year master plan.   

 

Financial reports

m/ Tim s/Craig The financial reports for January were accepted.

 

Petra reported that all homeowners are current with their cluster assessments.  She also confirmed that the next bill will contain a notice on planned street paving and a reminder to homeowners on the cluster’s house painting requirements.

 

Street Paving and related work

The Board reviewed bids for street paving.

 

m/ Bob s/ Tim The Board approved awarding a contract to Propave for milling, pavement overlay and striping for $45,839 unless a lower bid comes in within the next week.

 

The Board agreed by consensus to get assessments of the condition of cement sidewalks and curbs and estimates of repair costs.

 

The Board agreed to wait for more information before deciding on awarding contracts for curb painting.

 

Landscaping

Lee reported on the status of work conducted by the cluster’s landscaping contractor.

 

Lee reported that the Reston Association is considering budgeting funds to reconstruct the stream bed bordering the Lamplighter Way subdivision. The stream bed runs through Reston Association property and is deeply eroded.

 

The Board set the next meeting for 7:30 pm March 29 at Tim’s house (1223)

 

The meeting adjourned at 9:05 p.m.
