Board of Directors Meeting
March 19, 2013
The Meeting, held at Bob Dilger’s (1268) was called to order at 7:35 p.m.
Board Members present: Scott Parkin, Jason Goldberg, Matt Roland, Alice Tripp and Bob Dilger
Secretary’s Report: The minutes of the February 19th meeting were unanimously accepted as written.
Treasurer’s Report: Budget vs actual to date sheets and reserve savings info were distributed.
Social Committtee: April 20th has been selected as the date for a spring community yard sale. Jason has the action and will notify the community and newsmedia. Also, we are pleased to welcome the new residents at 1235.
Landscape Committee: After much discussion, Bob moved the Board approve the removal and stump grinding of two white pines adjacent to 1200 at a cost of approximately $800, date of removal to be determined by the Landscape Committee. Seconded by Jason. Unanimous.
Old Business:
Street light by path to Woodbrook Lane: Matt noted that the wires are not connected. More to come at a later date.
Environmental discussion: Jason has biodegradable leaf bags for the proper packaging of leaves and yard debris. They are available at his home (1274) for $1.50/each.
Roof Maintenance: Several companies that completed roof replacements in the neighborhood were contacted regarding inspections. Inspections are recommended after 10 years and owners should minimize traffic on the roofs.
New Business:
Privacy fence issue: Bob moved, seconded by Scott that the Board submit a letter of support for an exception to the paint color on one privacy fence.
Website domain: Board approved the financing of the website for a five year term at the cost of $120.
Other: Reston Association has approved adding the front exterior lights to the listing of those acceptable for the rear of our units. That light is Seagull model #8507-02.
