Minutes
March 18, 2010

Members in attendance:  Alice Tripp, Bill Malyszka, Heidi Wilson, Kurt Lane and Judy Holmes
Call to order at 7:36 p.m.

Treasurer’s Report
With the exception of the costs incurred for the early snow in December – part of last year’s budget – the 2010 snow removal and tree damage costs have been met by this year’s budget line items.

Landscaping
As a first step toward our master plan, Ellice Stern and consultant Kate Davidson will do a walk-around over the next week or so.

Maintenance
There was discussion about the painting cycle for building exteriors, specifically removing the requirement for painting the trim every three (3) years.  The following motion carried.

MOTION:  Revise Article 10, Amendment 1 of the by-laws to read “The wood siding and trim of every building must be painted a minimum of every six (6) years”.  Moved by KL; 2nd by JH.  Motion carried 5-0.

Additionally, a board member will investigate with a couple of paint manufacturing companies what the recommended timeframe for painting our particular exteriors should be.

Our stop sign – which has rotted out of its base – is going to soon be replaced by a couple of volunteer homeowners.

Social Committee
No report.

Communications
Bill has set up a Google Groups e-mail address which is going to be used for future Cluster communications.  A message will go out to all homeowners who presently use e-mail which will introduce Google Groups to everyone.

Roofing
Kurt reported that approximately half of the referendum ballots have been received.  He will let the secretary know from whom ballots are outstanding and a reminder e-mail will go out with a due date of March 31st.

Other Business
Minutes from the meetings of Nov 5, Nov 19, Jan 7 and Feb 18 were moved and approved by acclamation.

The meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,
Judy Holmes
