Facts and documents
All homeowners must sign covenants with the Reston Association and are also governed by the policies of the cluster association, so what you can do, what you can't do, and how you go about getting approval to do what you can do is covered by a number of documents (see the Quick links to the left). Also included below are documents such as the original brochures from the builder, William L. Berry Company, and the schedule of quarterly fees and assessments for 2015.
Roof Reserve Q&A
In order to deal with the fact that Heather Knoll units zigzag with one another (Z-lots) and share roofs, the covenants of the association include provisions establishing and maintaining a roof reserve. This Q&A document is intended to help answer questions about the roof reserve.
Legal standing
Heather Knoll Cluster Association is incorporated in the State of Virginia.
Cluster policies
Policies have been established both by the Board of Directors, and as a result of actions approved by the majority of the homeowners at annual meetings. These policies are in addition to guidelines established by RA and deal with actions and concerns specific to our cluster. Click here for details.
10-Year Landscaping Plan
A ten-year plan for improving the landscaping in the cluster was approved at the 2010 Annual Meeting.
