Board of Directors Meeting
September 17, 2014
The meeting held at Tim Schick’s (1223) was called to order at 8:00 p.m.
Board Members present: Bob Dilger, Matt Roland, Tim Schick and Alice Tripp
Board Member Absent: Jason Goldberg
Secretary’s Report: Tim moved, seconded by Matt, that the minutes of the August 26th meeting be accepted as written. Approved.
Treasurer’s Report: Year to date spending was discussed.
Socal Commiteee: The fall party is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 20 from noon to 2:00 p.m. It was requested that in the future earlier notice be given.
Landscaping: Bob has the action with regard to the common property adjacent to 1240.
Little Free Library: no report at this time.
By-Laws Revision: Bob moved that that the following language be inserted into the Heather Knoll Cluster Association By-Laws at the end of the section dealing with the paint reserve: “ If, after six years, the building has not been painted, the Board of Directors, after consullting with the homowner, may, at its discretion, hire a paint contractor, schedule the building’s painting, and withdraw funds from the building’s paint reserve amount to pay the contractor. Homeowners are responsible for paying any difference if the building’s paint reserve amount is insufficient to cover expenses.” Tim seconded by motion and it was approved.
Rules and Regulations Updates: The Board discussed several recommended changes to the Cluster Rules and Regulations, submitted at the previous meeting by members of the Cluster, concerning the use and storge of sports and related equipment in the Cluster. No formal action was taken. The recommendations are available by request and will be filed with the official meeting minutes.
Date and place for next meeting: The budget prepartion meeting will take place prior to the next regular meeting. The monthly meeting will be October 22, 8:00 p.m. at Bob’s (1268).
