Board of Directors Meeting

May 14, 2014

The meeting, relocated to Bob Dilger’s (1268) was called to order at 8:05 p.m.

Board Members Present:  Jason Goldberg, Scott Parkin, Matt Roland, Alice Tripp and Bob Dilger

Secretary’s Report:  Scott moved the Board accept the minutes of the April 16th 2014 meeting.  Jason seconded the motion.  Unanimous.

Treasurer’s Report:  2014 Budget vs. actual figures was distributed.

Social Committee Report:  Jason moved that we move the yard sale date to June 7, the morning of the spring picnic.  Seconded by Matt and approved.  Jason has the action.

Landscape Committee Report:

            Drainage issues- Pooling drains were installed and working.

Walk Around- Ellice gave the Board results of her walk around with the Landscape Designer.  Board will meet on Wednesday, May 28th in Executive Session to review costs.

Old Business:

Sign Light- Scott moved that the Board authorize spending up to $100 for the purchase of a solar light for the entrance sign.  Seconded by Jason.  Approved unanimously.

Trash/Recycle Bins – Jason moved we approve the procuring of recycyling bins.  Matt seconded the motion.  Unanimous.  Review of replacing trash cans will come later.  Bob has the action with respect to community notification.

Street light by path to Woodbrook Lane – Matt moved we purchase a kit containing four solar lights for the path.  Seconded by Scott.  Unanimous.

New Business:

Fire Lane Parking – Bob will prepare an e-mail reminding residents about the dangers and illegality of parking in the fire lanes.

Cluster standards – Due to continuing concerns voiced by residents about objects other than cars or motorcycles being left in driveways, Jason moved the Board contact senior officials at Reston Association to request having them address the covenants regarding the appearance of the outsides of the townhouses. Seconded by Scott.  Unanimous.  Bob has the action.
